Technologies of Plant Sensory Systems PSS develops genetic and molecular technologies that increase nutrient uptake and mobilization in plants. The technologies increase the plants natural defenses to environmental stress and insect infestation. The technologies maximize crop production and quality, and have a positive impact on the environment. Plant Sensory Systems has two technologies (patent pending). One technology increases the nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) of plants as well as enhances stress tolerance. The commercial advantage of this technology is that it confers multiple value-added traits. The other technology of PSS targets carbon metabolism in the plant to increase the levels of sugars, lipids, or cellulose, which can be converted into biofuels. Although other companies have made modest changes in carbon metabolism using a step-wise approach, our metabolic-regulator technology produces orchestrated changes in entire pathways to provide significant ofincreases of targeted components for biofuel production. |
