The NUE/Stress Tolerance technology increases crop yield. The NUE/Stress Tolerance technology modifies a plant’s sensory system to optimize its response to the three most critical environmental factors affecting yield: nitrogen availability, water availability, and high temperature. Plants with PSS’ NUE/Stress Tolerance technology produce greater-than-normal yields without the standard application of nitrogen fertilizer or water.
The Metabolic Regulator technology is a platform technology that has the power to control entire metabolic pathways. It is a single dominant gene, making it readily transferable into any crop. PSS has applied the Metabolic Regulator technology to increase seed oil content. Increased seed oil content will increase productivity per acre and help to meet the rapidly growing demand for biodiesel and food.
